Crossing the bridge in Chicago was quite pleasant. It has been great since I arrived at the airport yesterday. All the buildings looked just like a movie I must have watched many times before. All the skyscappers seemed new, but I am sure they are very old. Very old like Sue. Sue Miller.
I got up early and went to the Millennium Park and the Butler Field, yes, I ran about 30 minutes and came back to the hotel. I could have stopped at Grand Park, but I went to all the way to the Millennium Park. I had too much energy this morning to burn. Perhaps, I could have gone to even Navy Pier, but I didn't want to have such a late start of a day, since I have only 5 days in Chicago. When I came back to the hotel, it was already 8:45 a.m.
I went upto my room and took a quick shower, then I came down to the lobby again. It was 9:15 a.m. The guy at the concierge was smiling just like yesterday and he greeted me with the same tone as yesterday.
"Good morning! Julie. Did you find anything about Sue?"
"Good morning! Pete. I am sure I will find something today. Please wish me luck!"
"Good luck! Have a nice day!"
"Thank you! You, too!"
Pete looks like the man who Sue used to describe about her first love. A very tall man with muscular arms who has a special accent from where we can't figure out, but must be somewhere near Chicago. So, I wanted to think he must be Pete. However, Pete was useless when it comes to the point when I have to find Sue Miller. He answered me yesterday that he never had a friend whose name was Sue Miller. That means he is not her first love. Well, it cannot be too easy to find Sue Miller. If it were, I wouldn't have had to come all the way to Chicago from Tokyo. Yet, isn't it too strange that he 'never' had any friend whose name was Sue Miller? Everyone told me it was such a common name, but Pete was saying that he 'never' had...... Okay. I really need to move on and start a new day today to get close to the clues about Sue Miller.
